What if I told you I helped an amazing young family get their first home under contract? You’d say OK, that’s great, but tell me more…
WELL, THIS REALLY HAPPENED:
I helped an amazing young family get a house under contract, and we had no idea the seller was in foreclosure. In fact, the selling agent had an idea of it but really had no pulse on it.
We tried for weeks to come to a solution. Most banks, if you have a contract on your home, will work with you so you don’t have to foreclose, but we made no headway. And get this: are you ready? The home I had under contract got auctioned off on the courthouse steps!
Well, it turns out I knew the realtor who bought it and got along with him pretty well, and he let us purchase it from him!
You can’t make this stuff up, and a lot of times you see the glamour of the home being sold, and you have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes and the glue that us realtors have to be to hold our clients’ emotions and the deal together.
I never gave up hope, and I always stayed positive, and it worked out, and I’m really grateful — no, this wasn’t about commission. This was about taking care of my buyers, who are super wonderful people.
